I'm not sure if you got it from EB Games/GameStop or if they are any more in stock there, but we would definitely let you exchange it for another one as long as you were getting the same game. Your problem lies in the fact that you have a limited edition, so the store probably doesn't have any for you. Was the disc actually noticeably SCRATCHED or is it a glitch? Because I bought the $130 LE one and I haven't gotten that far in the game yet and I don't know if that's going to happen to me, too. I haven't noticed any scratches though.

You will be better off using a flash card reader to download your images quickly and easily into your computer and any simple digital editing program to prepare your images for e-mailing and printing.

If there is not one built into your computer, they can be had at very reasonable prices from almost any store which sells cameras or computers. To get a quote, all of the companies are asking for the replacement cost. I've read that only way to get that is to hire an appraiser.



So does that mean I get an appraiser first, THEN start getting insurance quotes?



What do I do here?How do I determine my house's replacement cost to get an accurate quote from insurance companies?Well...a decent insurance agent should be able to tell you the average replacement cost in your area based upon a price per square foot value. Some companies will even have tools to input data about your home and come up with an estimated replacement cost...although these figures can tend to be out of date. If you want a true cost replacement value, you pretty much have to shell out around $300 for an appraisal or hire a contractor to give you an estimate.



But if your home is of average quality for your community, the figure your agent provides should be pretty good. For example, in my area the average replacement cost is around $175-$200 per square foot. So if you have an average house that is 1500 sq feet, you would probably be looking at $300,000 in coverage. The cost per square foot estimate came directly from our Total Loss Adjusters...their entire job is rebuilding people's burnt down houses. Now, if you have marble countertops and hardwood floors throughout, we'd want to raise that figure accordingly, to maybe $225-$250 per square foot.



Ask a local agent for their input...if they are worth a darn they should have an average estimate for you. If you want a figure based upon your exact house...pay for an appraisal.

Ignore the person who asked for your purchase price. Purchase price has absolutely no bearing on the replacement cost. Replacement cost is what it would cost to rebuild the house from scratch if it burned to the ground. The higher the value, you might be a little more above the $140 sf.



Keep in mind, no matter how much value you put on your home if you had laminated countertops then that is what they would go back with regardless if you had $1M dollars worth of coverage. Your policy shoudl have an inflation index that will keep your policy up to date. HOW TO CLEAN AND REPAIR A KITCHEN RANGE HOOD:



A range hood that doesn't adequately remove smoke and smells from your kitchen is usually suffering from one of a few common problems: The grease filter or some part of the exhaust ductwork may be clogged, or the fan may be bad. Neither of these repairs should take you much time.



Overall Things You'll Need:



Plumber's Snake

Ammonia

Soap

Replacement Fan

Screwdriver, or nut driver and socket

Old Toothbrush

Heavy Rag

Plastic Pan



Unclogging the exhaust system:



Instructions:



STEP 1: Remove the grease filter by sliding it out of its clips.

STEP 2: Submerge the filter in a plastic pan filled with hot, soapy water and 1/2 cup (4 fl oz/125 ml) ammonia. Let it soak for at least 15 minutes. If it's still dirty, soak it again, then rinse it thoroughly and set it aside to dry.

STEP 3: Remove the exhaust fan. Unplug the fan, then use a screwdriver or a nut driver and socket to take out the screws that attach it to the hood.

STEP 4: Clean the fan blades with an old toothbrush dipped into the ammonia-water mixture (see Warning).

STEP 5: Clean the inside of the exhaust ductwork, using a plumber's snake with a heavy rag tied around the end. Push the snake through the ductwork. Soak the rag in the ammonia and water mixture, then run it through the ductwork. Rinse out the rag and repeat the operation until the duct appears to be clean.

STEP 6: Clean the exhaust hood that's attached to the outside of your house. Use the old toothbrush and the ammonia-water mixture to loosen the grit and grime around the flapper plate. Make sure the plate moves freely when you're done. If it sticks closed, it can prevent the exhaust hood from working.

STEP 7: Reinstall the grease filter.





REPLACING THE FAN MOTOR:



Instructions:



STEP 1: Remove the grease filter by sliding it out of its clips.

STEP 2: Turn on the fan and inspect the motor. It needs to be replaced if it hums rather than turns, turns very slowly, runs for a short time then stalls, or feels very hot and won't turn.

STEP 3: Disconnect and remove the fan, following step 3, above.

STEP 4: Take the fan to an appliance store to get an exact replacement.

STEP 5: Install the new fan.



OVERALL TIPS AND WARNINGS:



Never put a grease filter in your dishwasher to clean it. You could end up with a film of hard-to-remove grease on the dishwasher walls.

Clean your grease filter monthly. It's your first line of defense against grease and grime that can damage the fan motor and plug the ductwork.

When cleaning the blades on the exhaust fan, take care not to wet the motor. I have no experience installing replacement windows and will be replacing 23 windows on a house we just purchased. There are two approaches to replacing windows -- make the window fit the opening, or make the opening fit the window. This is an important distinction when dealing with non-standard size window openings. I'm a good woodworker, and would be quite comfortable re-working the opening to fit a standard size window - but I prefer to make the windows fit the openings, even if it means spending a bit more on the windows.



A few things to remember when replacing windows -- get rid of any rotten wood while you're at it... don't forget your insulation/caulk, and be sure to install them square, plumb, and level, hehe.



As to brands - Pella and Anderson windows are both excellent brands, and easy to find at most building supply stores.



For the insulation - I prefer to use batten fiberglass insulation to fill large cavities, followed up with DapTex insulating foam. DapTex does most of its expansion immediately - an important factor. It also cleans up with soap and water. Great Stuff is another popular brand of insulating foam - BUT - it can continue to expand up to an hour later - which means you can actually put your window frames in a bind... and as anyone who has ever gotten it into their clothes, or on their hands can tell you - its a royal pain to get out, lol.

Before installing the new window, I would add a wind barrier around the opening, to at least a foot beyond (simply a layer of plastic).



I like to 'dry-fit' my windows, before caulking, just to make sure there will be no problem getting it in - takes a little extra time, but can save a big mess if there happens to be any problem, hehehe.



It takes me about an hour to replace a standard window, start to finish, but I've had a lot of practice, and have all the necessary tools.



By the way - if you choose vinyl windows, do NOT use an oil base lubricant on them (even most 'silicone' lubricants are oil base). The oil will 'attack' the vinyl, causing it to become brittle, and prematurely age. Vinyl window manufacturers recommend that a wax product be used to lubricate the windows. Johnson's furniture WAX (not 'polish') works very well, as does the Gulf brand wax 'cakes' (found anywhere canning supplies are sold, and at hobby stores).



After installation, you may find it necessary to adjust the spring mechanism in the windows. Some brands make a special tool to make it easy to do this... if the brand you choose, has such a tool, go ahead and buy it, you'll appreciate it later, hehe.

They need at least a 10 gallon tank for two or more. a one gallon doesn't have the the space for the fresh and salt water, climbing toys, hiding space, extra shells, friends, and food required.



A rabbit cage or plastic box is unacceptable as a hermit crab enclosure. It needs to be a glass tank with a glass or plexi glass lid.



Other enclosures don't hold the humidity and temperature needed to survive. Hermit crabs do not have lungs they breath with gills. If there is not enough moisture in the air they die.

If you had several hermit crabs die in your enclosure there was likely something wrong with it.Replacement?Do research before getting a pet. Chinchillas are high maintenance and expensive pets to get. Find a pet that's on a lower budget scale (vet-visit wise) and needs less maintenance, then your mom would be more prone to say yes.

Seriously. I have hypothyroid AND low testosterone... I'm 28 years old... I'm on hormone replacement for both, and I feel better health-wise since being on these treatments... but the physical symptoms I just can't seem to get rid of. I've tried everything. I used to excercise sternously regularly [I'm talking resistance training AND cardio... running 2 miles straight at least 4 or 5 nights a week]... I did that for months without significant results... I've tried special diets, etc. But I just can't seem to get rid of the pot belly and small man-boobs problem! So frustrating!



Is there anything I can do or should I just accept that due to my hormone issues I have to live like this forever?

Hypothyroidism, which I'm guessing you were diagnosed with due to your type of medication, will give you a modest weight gain. I'm guessing your medication is not sufficient and need a bigger dose. Talk to your doctor though before taking a stronger dose. Hypothyroidism is very serious and can result in heart failure or coma if not properly medicated.

If the chassis is say 12 inches shorter, and outer sheath rested on a new bracket mounted 12 inches behind where it normally slipped over the tube coming out of the chassis, then the stock inner cable would be a perfect length. If you did this with a tubing extension, then sand would not even hit the cable.

The only question would be whether or not being further back would allow the sheath to get out to the wheel without binding on the inner cable, from too tight of a bend?
