How long is typical to train your replacement as a personal assisitant?

I have been someone's personal and executive assistant and office manager for 3 years. How long should I be expected to stay on and train my replacement after I tell them of my intention to leave? How long is typical to train your replacement as a personal assisitant? For training a Manager, you will require at least a month please. How long is typical to train your replacement as a personal assisitant? You don't have an obligation to stay as long as this takes - you DO have an obligation to give 2 weeks notice. Have you given 2 weeks notice and if so, when is the 2 weeks up? Whenever the 2 weeks is up, then this is when you go! You have your own life to move on with!

good luck. How long is typical to train your replacement as a personal assisitant?Depends on the person. At one of my job a few years ago, I got promoted and we went through 3 admin's trying to take over my older position. Unfortunely, two of them were complete morons...they didn't even take notes while I was teaching them. Then would come to me like 5 times a day asking me to reexplain parts of my old job. Those ones didn't last long. The other one happened to be sharp, took notes and was able to do my old position (with use of notes and a %26quot;process%26quot; binder I had made) after the first week.

The position I'm in right now, the last lady was here 3 years....she only had 3 days to train me. It was hard, but with good notes, anyone with a good head on their shoulders can figure it out fairly quickly...How long is typical to train your replacement as a personal assisitant? It all depends on how much you do, and how quick your replacement is on picking up his or her new duties. I would say plan on at least 2 weeks to get someone trained or at least somewhat comfortable.
