Is it possible to find replacement parts for laptops?

I have a 1.5 year old Dell Latitude, and I have no idea what happened, but recently, one of the two tab-things... that keep the screen attached to the main body of the laptop broke off. I really want to replace it, because using it with the thing broken is a bit hard sometimes, not to mention further damaging, because it's starting to break the base a bit.....What I would like to know is if I could get a replacement, and how hard would it be to fix it myself? Is it possible to find replacement parts for laptops?it's pretty easy to find parts, especially for dell latitudes on eBay. they have guys on there selling just about everything you need. Not sure if you are talking about the plastic hinge covers or the actual hinge. the hinges will run you about $30 for a pair, you can usually find the plastic covers for a buck or two. If it's the hinges, it can be done, but you have to be very careful. the plastic covering on the screen has to be partially removed because the hinges have a long piece that runs the entire height of the screen on both sides inside the plastic frame. You don't have to take the screen totally out of the frame, but enough on the sides to replace the hinges. The covers just snap on.

Also dell's support website has all the manuals you need to replace just about any part on your laptop, and they are very easy to read.
